The Crime Mystery

Chapter 1
The Beginning
You know those two kids who lived down on Mulberry Ave? Well one was named Ciara Huffer, but call her CeCe or else. The other one, her neighbor, was named Theodore Logmoy, also, call Theodore Teddy, or else again. Anyway, it was the jewel crime. There was a jewel crime at a lady’s house, a rich, mean lady nobody liked. The two friends were in school that day when an announcement came on:
I’m sorry, but everyone will have to stay in school for an extra hour until we catch the criminal.
After that everyone was freaking out. Even the teachers! Cece and Teddy weren’t though, they wanted to find out more.
“Who cares about a stupid criminal on the loose? I want to figure out this mystery!” Cece said.
“You heard Mr. Plogimia, nobody is allowed out of the building!” Answered Teddy.
“Puppy dog face.”
“Fine I’ll go!!!!”
Chapter 2
Clues, Clues, Clues!
So the two raced up Main St. towards the old lady’s house, Mrs. Karbunkle.
“Teddy slow down I’m hungry.”
“Really?”
“Duh.”
“You’re impossible.”
“Thank you.”
So because of Cece they had to get something from the Snack Shack before they went to Mrs. Karbunkle’s. When Cece and Teddy were just about to leave the Snack Shack, Mr. Snack, the Snack Shack guy, screamed “OUT, OUT, EVERYONE OUT I HAVE TO COUNT MY, I mean…….. everybody OUT!!” When Cece and Teddy were out Teddy said “What the heck was that about?”
“Don’t know ,but that was our first clue.”
Chapter 3
Clues and a List
“That was weird.” Teddy said as they were finally on their way to Mrs. Karbunkle’s . When the two were walking Cece tripped over something. Teddy looked down and saw a shoe.
“Huh?” said Teddy.
“What is that white thing in it?” asked Cece
“Dunno”
“Maybe you don’t but I’m gonna find out!”
She opened up the shoe and in it was a scrap of crumpled up paper. It read:
I know what I did .stop. And it is funny .stop.
M.K.
“It’s a telegram.”
“Thanks Einstein. Hey, Teddy I think we should make a list. ”
Using the telegram and a pen from Teddy’s back pack , Cece made a list.
It was:
Clues:
1. Mr. Snack screaming.
2. I know what I did .stop. And it is funny .stop.
M.K.
Chapter 4
Suspects & Mrs.Karbunkle
“Who is M.K.?’ says Cece
“How should I know?”
“Now let’s make a suspect’s list.”
“Okay, fine."
It was:
Suspects:
Mr.Snacks M.K.
Teddy said "Whatever, let's go to Mrs. Karbunkle's house."
So the friends went the half a block to Mrs. Karbunkle's house. When they got there they rang the door bell. No one answered, but they heard yelling.
"I get half!!!"
"No way!!!"
"I'm your husband!"
"You're not blood related!!!" Someone screeched.
"I may not be blood, but I get half the jewels!!!!"
Chapter 5
A Dusty Door
"Okay........." Cece was creeped out.
"Let's leave." said Teddy
"You can, but I came here to find a mystery. I did and I intend to solve it. A great friend once told me never to give up and I won't."
"Oh all right."
They went in through the back gate. They came up to the unsurprisingly clean basement door. Then they went up the stairs, then left and then went straight for at least 10 minutes. They stopped when they came to a disgusting, filthy door. There was glass coming off the door, the ceiling was falling apart, and the paint was chipping off. Oh and I won't even mention what was on the floor around the door. Okay I will. There were wood chips, nails, old leaves, feathers, an old newspaper, glass chips, cigarette butts, dead plants, half of a pair of broken scissors, and dead rats. The dead rats were everywhere and Cece was very creeped out. Teddy was fine with rats except what really creeped him out was the carcass of a poor pigeon nailed to the wall.
The two kids heaved open the huge door and in it was a sparkling room that had a mountain of jewels. Trust me the height of the mountain was unbelievable.
"OMG" said Cece with her eyes popping out.
"Truly amazing." answered Teddy.
"Hey Teddy let's go way up and talk to Mrs. Karbunkle about all this."
"Wait first we have to get Mr. Snack over here."
"I'll call him on my cell."
Chapter 6
Confessing
So Teddy, Cece, Mr.Snack, and Mrs. Karbunkle talked it over and Mrs. Karbunkle made some tea and cookies. Turned out Mr. Snack had to count his register money to see if anybody had stolen anything because he saw a really suspicious looking guy. He also said he was stressed and hadn't gotten any sleep that night. He was very sorry. Mrs. Karbunkle had told the town someone took her jewels so people wouldn't come try and steal them. Last year there was a robbery and she didn't want it to happen again. The telegram was from her brother, Mike Karbunkle. He had played a funny joke on someone and was telling Mrs. Karbunkle. The reason it was in a shoe is because Mike was weird like that. The yelling was at her husband, he wanted some jewels. So everything was solved and it all went back to normal.
And finally I could think about something else.

Building a Building
Building a building, so fine and neat
But mostly made of hard concrete
Building a building so fine and strong
Building a building, it won't take long
Debris and rubble
aren't too much trouble
Building a building is so much fun,
except for the hot, hot sun.

Growing Up
I can't wait 'till I'm 16
But right now I'm just a 'tween
I can't wait for the driver's test
I can pass it. I'll do my best.
My parents are just plain mean
I can't get a phone 'till I'm 13.
My mom says I'm growing up too fast
My dad always says make it last.
Sometimes I think they're right,
Reading on a stormy night.
I will miss my mom and dad
and when I leave, I'll be so sad.
Maybe I want to be a child
and not go into the grown up wild.
